What drove you towards sales/business development/merchant activation?

My career has always been marketing & sales but deeply driven by insights & measurable results across any touchpoint. When I joined Cellulant, activation was so natural. Activation simply means growth, and because growth is measurable at every touchpoint that keeps me motivated to do more.

What would you say have been some of the most challenging moments for you on the job?

Losing a customer in the middle of activation/growth campaigns can be disheartening but nonetheless, we learn and shift strategy to remedy such losses especially during this COVID era where some restrictions affect customers depending on the sector.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients/customers/market?

Grow digital payments. My daily job is to help clients grow their digital payments, reducing cash, and open new revenue avenues i.e. ability to collect from different wallets and serve more customers; remotely or in proximity.

Which have been the most rewarding moments?

Customer testimonials. An Enterprise customer said Cellulant has helped them take control of their business operations by reducing risks associated with Cash sales, CIT, and lack of visibility across multiple stores. That brings me great joy seeing how customers are being impacted.

What do you love most about working at Cellulant?

Shared Vision, across departments & Teamwork, regardless of where you sit.

In your own words, what does Cellulant want to do in Africa and why is that inspirational for you?

Transforming Africa through digital payment, connecting thousands of businesses to millions of customers is really transformational. I feel there is a big opportunity in Africa considering over 90% of all payments are cash-based. Cellulant is best positioned if you look at its digital footprint, talents, expertise, and experience.
